3rd generation Colorado natives, the Wood family ventured to Meeker in 2011 to begin "Code of the West Outfitters". The family has helped their dad pack and set camps since they were young and it was a natural transition. All are experienced with elk, moose, deer, mountain lion, bear, bobcat and coyotes. Units 12 and 24 in Meeker Colorado are geared toward cow and bull elk hunts, while bear-moose-dear are becoming more prevalent, we focus on the big game that is most available. Jared Wood and "Hound Town Enterprises" in Gypsym Colorado have the best lion hunting hounds in the region. Mom, Dad, sister, brothers and extended family all have a part. We have made some of our greatest friends on this endeavor and it is a true family business. Our primary goal for every season, is to provide the best service and an unforgettable experience.
