We run guided camps at our Upper Salt location. We currently offer fully-guided archery, muzzleloader, and rifle elk hunts. Game Management Units (GMU) 12, 24.

Your elk hunt may be combined with a deer, bear or moose depending on the hunt location.

Drop camps are located deep into the White River National Forest Game Management Units (GMU) 12, 24 northwest Colorado. Elk habitat surrounds the camp site allowing hunters the opportunity to hunt directly from the tent without the need for horses or miles of hiking. Camps can accommodate 2 to 8 hunters and offer a comfortable base in the remote backcountry during your hunt. Each camp contains a tent with cots and all cooking equipment and wood stove.

We pack you in to camp and you are your own guide and cook. We check drop camps throughout the week and will pack your meat out and to the processor if requested.

Camps are set in their permitted area prior to your arrival and will include the following equipment:

• Lanterns
• Cooking Pots and Pans
• Cots and pads
• First Aid Kit
• Water Carrying Container
• Outhouse tent, seat, lime, paper

Our drop camp sites are located next to a water source. Most of these water sources are small springs and produce good water. It is the hunter responsibility to purify the water for safe consumption.
